Yes, if you strictly need conversion, use Handbrake! I agree that the presentation of the app is misleading as it focuses on conversion but it's a lot different compared to most other converters.
#MP4TOOLS OSX MP4#
mp4 container.Ĭomparing it to VLC or HandBrake, like the former commenter did, is a nonsense to me: I've been using both for years and they simply don't offer remux functionality (well, there's a way to kinda do it in VLC, but you can't choose which audio flux, and it's not as easy and efficient anyway). This app (like its counterpart MKVtools) is invaluable for remuxing a multi-language file, for example, keeping only the language you want, or for moving the content of such. Apply one setting to a group of files for easy batch creations (registered copies only).Add jobs to a queue either individually or in batches via drag-and-drop so you can process multiple files overnight (registered copies only).Extract the selected tracks from MP4 videos as individual video and/or audio files.Adjust the pixel aspect ratio of MP4 videos.Split MP4 videos into segments of a specified file size or by start/end time.Control the font, size, and positioning of the embedded subtitles.Burn (i.e., hard code) subtitle tracks into the video, or mux (soft subtitles) from internal tracks or from external subtitle files commonly found on the internet.Use presets for one-step encoding for playback on common hardware such as the iPhone and Apple TV.Intuitively select desired video, audio and/or subtitle tracks to process, with the ability to verify the selections using video preview.Ability to convert various surround sound audio to 5.1 AC3 or 5.1 AAC.Simplified, intuitive user interface that takes the guess work out of processing MP4 videos. Can convert most videos without having to re-encode the video track and/or the audio track, so processing takes minutes instead of hours, and no quality is lost.Convert from a variety of video file formats like MKV, MP4, OGM, and AVI into MP4 videos. As the name might imply, MP4tools is a graphical interface for a variety of "tools" useful for processing video files.
#MP4TOOLS OSX TV#
It was primarily designed for processing videos files for use in hardware capable of playing MP4 or M4V videos, such as the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and PS3. It is an OS X application used for the creation and editing of MP4 videos. It just unexpectedly reports the join is "Done" but no output file is generated.MP4tools is an offshoot of the current version of the popular conversion tools called MKVtools. Version 3.6 doesn't seem to have that problem, but it also doesn't seem to work on MacOS 10.14.1. So it seems like some important files were missing from this version…. There are actually eight total aliases in that folder and all are broken (see attached screen clip). Applications/MP4Joiner.app/Contents/MacOS/MP4Joiner/Contents/libs/libwxosxcocoauhtml-3.0.0.2.0.dylibīut that file is actually a broken alias that points to nothing. When I check the package contents of MP4Joiner, I find the matching file at:

Library not loaded: from: /Applications/MP4Joiner.app/Contents/MacOS/MP4Joiner

Termination Reason: DYLD, Library missingĭyld: launch, loading dependent libraries
